Network Engineer - 3 Month Contract
Day Rate: £450 - £550 per day (Inside IR35)
Duration: 3 months
Location: Yorkshire or East Midlands (2 days per week on-site)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week plus out-of-hours support rota

The Role We're seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support IT infrastructure services across a nationwide network of depots and facilities. You'll manage network and security infrastructure, participate in projects, and provide 2nd/3rd level support.

Essential Requirements

• Check Point experience (essential)
• Cisco CCNP or equivalent professional certification
• Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA
• 3+ years Cisco network design and implementation
• Design and implementation of complex Firewall and VPN environments
• LAN/WiFi environments including Software Defined Networks
• Network and Firewall automation skills
• Strong fault-finding and analytical abilities

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and design network security technologies (Firewall, LAN, WAN, Load Balancers)
• Systems monitoring, fault management and installations
• Automation and Scripting
• Project participation and infrastructure implementations

Desirable

• Load balancing, Cisco ISE, ACI/DNA and wireless technologies
• Experience with third-party suppliers and change management

Note: Requires flexibility to travel and work outside normal hours as needed.
