Python Test Engineer (SC Cleared), £400 per day inside IR35

Bench IT require an experienced Python Test Engineers to join a large organisation starting immediately. The project will be to assist with a secure customer with their testing programme and as a result the successful Python Test Engineer who have active SC Clearance.

The Tester will validate the accuracy and integrity of data transformed by a Python web app. The candidate will ensure the application meets defined business rules, quality standards, and aligns with expected outputs. The candidate will also conduct User Interface (UI) and Python app testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Validation: Ensure transformed data is accurate, complete, and aligned with defined transformation rules.
• End-to-End Testing: Conduct application flow testing across development and production environments, including functional and regression testing of data workflows.
• UI & Integration Testing: Test the user interface for data upload, including integration with Back End process.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track data-related issues, ensuring timely resolution with developers and data engineers.
• Test Documentation: Create and update test plans, cases, and reports for data transformation scenarios.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, developers, and business analysts to align testing with transformation rules and user requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in data validation and testing of data transformation processes.
• Strong understanding of data quality principles and testing methodologies.
• Familiar with Python for validating data outputs and automation of test cases.
• Experience with UI validation.

Desirable

• Experience with automated data testing tools and frameworks.
• Understanding of accessibility compliance and its impact on data presentation.
• Experience testing Flask web-based applications.
• Experience with Python.
