Infrastructure Analyst - VMware/vSAN- West Midlands

VMware and vSAN is essential for this role

6Months - Hybrid working

Crimson is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst with expertise in VMWare for a new project. The role involves using technical knowledge to independently troubleshoot and resolve production issues, escalating to Senior Engineers only when necessary. The contractor is expected to complete tasks to agreed quality standards within set timeframes and with minimal supervision.

This person should actively seek opportunities to improve team processes and procedures, support and guide peers, and help boost team efficiency by creating clear technical documentation as needed. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving service incidents, performing technical tasks like patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts, and configuring backups, and prioritising high-priority activities to ensure critical work is completed first.

Key skills and responsibilities,

  • Strong Infrastructure experience
  • Strong expertise in VMware vSphere and associated virtualization tools
  • Proven experience with Cisco UCS, HPE, and Dell VxRail infrastructure platforms
  • Proficient in vRealize Operations Manager, vRealize Automation, and vRealize Log Insight
  • Hands-on experience deploying VMware solutions and supporting enterprise virtualization architectures
  • Working knowledge of VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and Vsan
