About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Glasgow/Bournemouth Delivery Unit of a world-leading global financial institution. Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy modern cloud application solutions.
• Integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure across complex systems.
• Deploy infrastructure and platform environments using automation and best practices.
• Create proof-of-architecture prototypes to validate performance, security, and scalability.
• Act as a subject matter expert, influencing decisions across multiple engineering teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote high-quality engineering standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless cloud capabilities.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of cloud architectures to identify enhancements.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Advanced proficiency in Python (P3 - Advanced)
• Advanced experience with Kubernetes & AWS EKS
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and architecture patterns
• Experience shaping and influencing multi-team technical decisions
• Excellent problem-solving skills in large enterprise environments
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
