Traffic Management Supervisor (Road Space Applications) (Permanent)
Location: Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire Country: UK Rate: c£35k to £40k per year
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced traffic management professional with exposure to high speed networks to coordinating traffic management requirements, ensuring all works comply with relevant H&S and sector scheme guidelines buy undertaking occasional site visits.
A key aspect of this role involves managing and reviewing Road Space Applications, liaising with local authorities, National Highways to secure access to the road network.
Skills and Experience:
- A strong understanding of traffic management principles, including traffic control measures, road safety regulations, and traffic management planning processes
- Experience in managing and reviewing Road Space Applications and RAMS
- Computer literate, with proficiency in basic computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
- Desirable qualifications include 12 A/B, 12 C, and 12D T7 (High-Speed traffic management knowledge)
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical and problem solving abilities
- Able to undertake in person site visits, occasionally at night
Role and Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel and promote safety practices in line with company policies
- Front line responsibility for service delivery of maintenance works and emergency response activities, including standby duties
- Plan and arrange traffic management requirements for technology works, including managing and reviewing Road Space Applications
- Supervise operational teams/subcontractors to meet productivity and quality targets
- Collaborate with the Plant and Fleet Department to optimize vehicle and equipment assets
