Change and Release Analyst (Contract)

Location: Milton Keynes Country: UK Rate: £265 - £270 per day + Negotiable
 

Change and Release Analyst

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £270 per day

Location: Milton Keynes & remote (hybrid working) - You will be required to be on site 3 days per week for this role.

IR35 Status: Outside

Start: ASAP

We require a Change & Release Analyst for our Government Client to ensure their ICT Operations Change & Release Management processes and procedures are adhered too. You will also provide advice and guidance on the processes to their technical resolver teams and stakeholders.

Essential skills and experience required:

As the Change & Release Analyst you will be proficient in the following:

ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

Experience of working within Change, Configuration or Release in a demanding and complex environment.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and to communicate clearly with a range of people at different levels of the organisation, including the ability to liaise, explain and discuss complex issues using a range of tools, styles, and techniques.

Demonstrable understanding of the pressures and demands of a fast-moving, complex outsourcer environment.

Demonstrable ability to plan, prioritise and co-ordinate own and team activities.

Knowledge and experience of ITIL service management good practice, particularly Change and Configuration Management.

Ability to estimate risk of potential business impact from minimal data or identify the need to request further information.

Proven ability to persuade and influence others using a variety of communication styles.

Experience of working with complex multi system, multi-site environment.

Ability to facilitate meetings and manage any conflicts to an acceptable resolution.

Experience of working with Service Management tools eg: ServiceNow

Duties include:

Facilitate the efficient and prompt triage of all RFCs, assessing the risk and priority confirming they are valid and accurate.

Ensure all RFCs are logged in the Change Management tool.

Coordinate the impact assessment of all proposed RFCs with all key stakeholders.

Produces agenda and minutes from Change Advisory Board (CAB).

Prioritise and assign approved changes to the appropriate groups.

Coordinate the implementation of approved Changes.

Escalate to the appropriate management/stakeholders all deviations, issues, delays, and risks identified associated to changes.

Monitor and hasten change activity, identify, and report any choke points or delays, suggest, and implement resolutions to more complex cases and escalate issues that can't be resolved to the Change Manager.

Perform Post Implementation Reviews and liaise with stakeholders.

Provide support to the Change Managers and cover their position in times of absence.

Identify opportunities for Continued Service Improvement and discuss options with the Change Manager/senior managers and implement changes to procedures and policy.

To provide support or training to users on the Service Now Management Tool (ITSM)
