Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced Delivery Manager to join their EMEA Data Office and play a critical role in executing their new Data Strategy. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of data-driven transformation within a leading global financial institution.
About the Role
As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of the data strategy roadmap, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with the Data Strategy Lead and a team of data specialists to manage a portfolio of change initiatives across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of a complex portfolio of data strategy initiatives across multiple EMEA branches and departments.
- Maintain a single view of all data initiatives within a centralized roadmap.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with the EMEA Data Office Senior Leadership Team to prioritize smaller projects and change work.
- Lead the scoping, planning, and delivery of local projects, small changes, and BAU initiatives.
- Champion agile working practices and contribute to shaping the delivery operating model.
- Participate in project assurance and oversight of corporate data projects.
- Build strong relationships with IT colleagues to ensure effective IT deliverable planning and management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of delivering complex change initiatives using project and change management methodologies (waterfall, scaled agile).
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with data governance, business intelligence, data architecture, data engineering, and data science.
- Passion for using data to drive business outcomes.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet challenging deadlines.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of emerging trends in data & analytics.
- Experience implementing scaled agile delivery (eg, SAFe) in a Chief Data Office environment.
- Portfolio management experience.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (financial services a plus).
- Experience working in a multinational environment.
