PMO Analyst/Business Change/Permanent Role/Gloucestershire (Permanent)

Location: Cirencester Country: UK Rate: 40K - 45K
 

Main Purpose of Job:

The PMO Analyst will play a key role in the Business Change PMO Function, which supports more than 10 business aligned portfolios of work. The role will support one or more Portfolios as well as supporting and developing the overall PMO Function. As a senior member of the team, the role may also be involved in mentoring and task management of junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Responsible for providing full PMO Analyst support as defined in the PMO Services at a competent level, including:
    • RAIDD Management
    • Change Budget Management
    • Governance Meeting Preparation and Actions
    • Change Planning
    • Benefits Management
    • Document Management
    • Project Quality Checks
  • To be competent in using key project and portfolio management tools
  • To be competent at training other users in key project and portfolio management tools
  • To take leadership of one or more defined PMO Services, ensuring the service is working effectively and looking for opportunities for improvement.
  • To be competent at building reports either through tools or manually

Requirements of the Job:

People Management Responsibilities:

No expected line management responsibilities but will be expected to set an example of good leadership to those at a lower level and be able to mentor members of the Central team. Will also be required to co-ordinate Central team daily tasks if required by PMO Lead.

Job Knowledge:

To have a good understanding of the wider role of the PMO and how it fits into the Business Change team and project processes.

To have an understanding of data analytics, reporting and budgeting.

To have good Office 365 skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Proficiency in project and portfolio management tools.

To have excellent attention to detail.

SJP Business Expertise:

No business expertise is required as a pre-requisite for the job, but team members will be expected to learn about the business as part of developing their skills.

Demonstrates ability to think critically and logically and applies to their everyday work.

Nature and Scope of Impact:

Has impact throughout Business Change and potentially wider, depending on tasks undertaken.

Interpersonal Skills:

Demonstrates taking the initiative, proactive thinking and an ability to be flexible, on a daily basis.

Special Requirements:

May be required to occasionally work at weekends to support project implementations.
