We're working with a rapidly growing FinTech company in London, revolutionizing the way subscription lending works in the UK. They're passionate about innovation and building a secure and trusted platform for their customers. As they scale, they're seeking a talented and experienced CISO to lead the information security program.

The Role

In this critical role, you will be responsible for building and implementing a best-in-class information security program from the ground up. You will be a strategic leader, partnering with the executive team to ensure security is at the forefront of everything we do.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (FCA, GDPR etc.).
Design and oversee the implementation of security controls to protect our IT infrastructure, data, and applications.
Establish and manage a high-performing information security team.
Foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks.
Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
Work closely with internal stakeholders across all departments to ensure security considerations are integrated into business processes.
Manage and maintain relationships with external security vendors.


Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Proven track record of building and implementing information security programs in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Experience working within the FinTech industry is a strong plus.
Possesses relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.) and a deep understanding of information security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001 etc.).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
