Project Manager - GenAI/AI Implementation Specialist (Life Sciences/Healthcare) (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Macclesfield, Cheshire Country: UK Rate: 450.00£/day inside IR35
 

As a Project Manager specializing in GenAI or AI implementation within the life sciences and healthcare domains, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of transformative projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of AI initiatives, ensuring they align with organizational goals and deliver tangible benefits to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams in the implementation of GenAI or AI solutions, driving project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  2. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  3. Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology infrastructure, to support project execution and meet project milestones.

  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery within predefined timelines and budget constraints.

  5. Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective communication and project alignment.

  6. Quality Assurance: Implement robust quality assurance processes to monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain project quality and compliance standards.

  7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and other project artifacts, to facilitate transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing complex projects in the life sciences or healthcare domains, with a focus on GenAI or AI implementation.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and their applications within life sciences and healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, drive project delivery, and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the life sciences and healthcare industries (eg, FDA, EMA) preferred.
