IT Controls Operator (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £600 - £700 per day
 

IT Controls Operator - Contract - Inside IR35 - £600-£700/day - Hybrid work - London

Leading specialty Insurer is looking for an IT Controls Operator to gather evidence required for audits of IT internal control and verify the IT Controls, as well as helping with documenting existing internal IT controls and monitoring the process to ensure the IT function is compliance.

The successful candidate will be working very closely with the IT teams and the process owners to refine risk control Matrix, develop process flows and test procedures and improve IT controls and Process documentation.

Previous SOX experience is essential for the role.

This is an Inside IR35 contract, for initial 6 months, paying £600-£700/day, with 3 days working from the office in London, starting ASAP.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering attestation information for audits of IT internal controls
  • Provide feedback to control owners around internal controls, assessments, remediation, and documentation
  • Assist with the quarterly IT Controls certification process with business process owners, aligning with reporting timelines
  • Maintain and update the IT scoping and risk assessments, including maintaining the internal IT controls, procedures, and documentation
  • Contribute to the ongoing efforts to standardise, streamline, and enhance existing SOX control documentation to meet regulatory requirements
  • Participate in planning meetings and share prior testing experience through personal example and explanation to increase testing efficiency and improve the quality of testing results

Required skills:

  • Technical auditing skills and corporate-level IT Control experience, especially SOX
  • Familiarity with internal control concepts, practices, procedures, and implementation of controls
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements, and operational risk concepts
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or IT Service Management (ITSM) risk management experience
  • Proficient in desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing processes and procedures
  • Good organisational skills, used to managing and prioritising own workload
  • Ability to report on progress, timescales, outstanding and completed activities
