Change and Configuration Analyst

Permanent - Hybrid Working - Up to £80k in London (based on experience)

An exciting opportunity to work with a big-name client within the insurance sector. The client is looking for a Change and Configuration Analyst who is a highly motivated and eager individual with strong communication skills, to join their team.

Location: London with hybrid working, must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to come into the office if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the Change Enablement process by evaluating proposed Requests for Change, ensuring comprehensive documentation and communication, overseeing Change progress, and ensuring successful execution.
• Take ownership of enhancing the IT change enablement process, aligning it with ITIL best practices, and ensuring consistent adherence to established guidelines. Provide solutions which align with architectural designs
• Engage in routine audits to verify the accuracy and comprehensiveness of configuration data, ensuring the integrity of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
• Utilize the CMDB to proactively identify potential incidents or problems, promptly reporting them to the relevant support teams for resolution or preventive measures.
• Collaborate with service owners, project teams, and Enterprise Architecture to gather necessary information for the deployment of new services.
• Assist in crafting and updating transition plans, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, with a focus on engaging Service Desk and support teams.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing service information, promptly identifying and addressing areas requiring updates to ensure accuracy and relevance.

Key Experience:

• Proficient grasp of ITIL principles and their practical application within IT service management frameworks.
• Understanding of configuration management databases (CMDB) and their pivotal role in upholding precise configuration data.
• Familiarity with contemporary infrastructure technologies encompassing networking, Servers, storage, virtual desktops, virtual Servers, and Cloud services.
• Demonstrated track record in IT service management roles, with particular emphasis on change enablement or configuration management experience considered advantageous.
• Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) tools and technologies, providing a foundation for efficient and effective management of IT services.
