QA Tester (Website overhaul) (Contract)
Location: Remote Country: Italy Rate: €500 to €550 per day

Remote work - 30 days initial contract - May 2024 start
My client is a UN Agency and their website is the first touch point for anyone interested in the organisation.
The business is updating the existing website to create:-
- A refreshed look and feel through a more modern, cleaner, and appealing design.
- An enhanced capacity to interact with target audiences through new storytelling.
- A new user journey based on qualitative and quantitative data.
The QA Tester will be responsible for the quality assurance of the website by completing the following tasks:
- Understand the website functional and design requirements.
- Develop test plans, test scenarios, and write test scripts based on defined website requirements and designs.
- Report and track bugs, defects and fixes
- Validate the numerical and content quality of migrated content.
- Support users' acceptance testing (UAT)
- Execute test scripts to identify defects in the following areas:
- Website usability.
- Content searchability.
- Website accessibility.
- Webpages language switching and translation.
- A/B testing - comparing old and new website.
- Browsers compatibility.
- Platform - desktop, mobile and tablet compatibility.
Required education and experience
- At least three years of manual and automated testing experience
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Proficient in test methodologies and tooling, with relevant qualifications (eg, ISTQB Foundation)
- Experience with TDD, BDD automation and Continuous Integration tools (Git).
- Programming skills in JavaScript and Typescript.
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Proven experience in test execution, problem-solving, and documentation.
Desirable skills & experience
- Skills in building CI/CD pipelines, including tools, operating systems, containerisation.
- Experience with UI/UX and web Front End technologies.
- Experience with REST API Testing tools
- Experience of Agile (or agile/scrum/waterfall or hybrid) development practices and techniques
