SQL Database Administrator - Global Banking Client (Contract)

SQL DBA - Azure - .NET
New long term opportunity for an experienced SQL Database Administrator to join my leading Banking customer on a freelance basis.
The role of the SQL DBA will be to work in coordination with the relevant Application Engineers to carry out critical database health checks and optimal performance tuning. You will also be integral to supporting and performing prescribed migrations to significantly improve the data platform SQL server. You will provide assistance to the DevOps department with the creation and ongoing maintenance of their release pipelines and database access.
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in administering SQL databases through the application of optimisations. Strong experience with general windows environments is a non-negotiable, as is knowledge of relevant networks and certificates. Exposure within Azure and Azure DevOps is also highly desirable, with .NET expertise also carrying similar weight.
This is a freelance position with long-term prosperity likely as the customer would like to keep the SQL DBA's onboard for multiple years. You will be required to be onsite 3 days a week, with 2 days spent working from home.
The total working hours will equate to 20 per week.
