The role of the Specialist Business Systems Analyst HRIS is to assist with the administration of the HR applications including the payroll system and all SuccessFactors modules. Primary responsibilities will include design, documentation and system configuration for system enhancements as well as support of day to day maintenance.

This role will also be a team member on implementations of new applications, processes and procedures for ongoing improvement of the applications


Effectively partners with HR and IT to confirm thorough understanding of processes and procedures and ensure that HR systems are meeting requirements of business.

  • Identifies and implements key process improvements as they relate to the applications.
  • Works with payroll and third party vendor to test and update all payroll tax and statutory updates
  • Participates in upgrade and disaster recovery testing
  • Works with HR users to maintain integrity of system
  • Works with IT to maintain smooth running of interfaces using automatic scheduler and addresses any errors in a timely manner
  • Acts as liaison with IT by writing clear functional specifications for any development changes needed

Provides business consulting and support to all business users globally:

  • Builds and runs queries as needed
  • Assists with data analysis as needed
  • Utilizes/Monitors Cherwell ticket system to monitor and support all global user requests
  • Analyzes complex business problems to be solved and makes suggestions for resolution
  • Troubleshoots day to day issues and supports users
  • Trains associates on system functionality
  • Maintains security in SuccessFactors
  • Clearly communicates expectations and progress to business

Participates on large projects as team member including WorkForce Time management and EC/ECP implementations

  • Supports requirements gathering processes
  • Assists with design and documentation
  • Configures system settings and options
  • Plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements

Maintains a working knowledge of applications and keeps up to date with system upgrades and releases.

  • Reviews quarterly and yearly releases with business
  • Identifies any areas of potential risk or improvements
  • Creates test scripts and works with business to complete any regression testing required
  • Works with quality team to ensure validation process is upheld

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years HR practical experience (an understanding of the process of compensation, benefits, recruiting, performance management, and other HR related activities)
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on SAP payroll configuration experience - ability to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues independently including completion of configuration as needed
  • Minimum of 2 years SuccessFactors configuration experience in at least 1 module
  • Proficient in Excel & Access
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience supporting third party system integration with SuccessFactors
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
