Job Description:
Develops reporting tools, including creating and running reports on predetermined schedules; data mining, formulating and conducting analysis supporting continuous improvement opportunities in cost/service/quality; and development, implementation, and ongoing support of information systems for use by Supply Chain group. Serves as project leader for application development and implementation projects. Collects and analyzes data to support supply sourcing, negotiations, vendor performance evaluation, and business financial processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
  • Provides consultative and analytical support to management to enhance decision making.
  • Defines and develops regular (i. e., weekly, monthly, and annual) reporting tools for Purchasing management and members to assist with sourcing decision-making process.
  • Analyzes, develops, and maintains reports to measure Purchasing operational performance; makes recommendations for improved reporting. Prepares monthly and annual sourcing reports.
  • Drives process improvements for collecting and reporting purchasing spend and price reporting for improved forecasting.
  • Manages specific project responsibilities. Develops business cases for new technology based projects. Supports development of recommendations, including cost benefit, integration issues, and support requirements to improve sourcing processes.
  • Serves as liaison for selection, testing, and implementation of information technology projects for Purchasing management and other internal and external users and/or customers.
Working hours: 8:00 - 5:00
Skills:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Additional training in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent preferred.
Work Experience
  • Four years Supply Chain or related analytical experience, including exposure to process engineering, scheduling, planning, project management, and cost analysis.
Skills and knowledge
  • Understands workings of business, data structure, and flow of information.
  • Familiarity with quantitative disciplines.
  • Working business knowledge of supply chain management and optimization.
  • Strong relationship and consulting skills to work effectively with business counterparts to conceive, specify, pilot, and implement analytical applications. Ability to communicate results of analytical work.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software applications, Client Server applications, and data analysis tools, with proficiency in spreadsheet applications (i. e., Excel) and data mining tools.
  • Ability to specify software and develop computer programs and develop, implement, install, test, and troubleshoot application software.
  • Ability to prepare training materials.
  • Ability to articulate user information requirements and develop appropriate support tools.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop project timelines, maintaining and managing to them meeting requirements, and record process steps and track corrective meeting required timelines.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Strong PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.
  • Knowledge of Business Objects software preferred.
  • Knowledge of Systems, Applications, Processes (SAP) Supply Chain software preferred.
